There wouldn't be several captains around to lynch him even if he wins, Ichigo wouldn't be quite so fired up, and the whole Tsukishima/Ginjou/Ishida thingy wouldn't have happened (Ichigo wouldn't know that Ginjou attacked his friends)
Therefore Ichigo would be more reasonable and likely to listen to Ginjou's (I guess reasonable) problems with Ukitake and the SS establishment, perhaps being willing to help after seeing his own manipulation by Ukitake

We can only
fanwank speculate but I think the most reasonable explanation is that such a revelation could've given Ichigo second thoughts about wanting to get his powers back, which Ginjou wouldn't have wanted since his entire plan depends on Ichigo getting his powers back. Also, what Akashin said.
