LoweGear: very nice work, I had a couple comments before the thread got locked. For the record:
Spoiler for Some Notes:
Zen explains Kagura's ability ("reversing" -- maybe inversion sounds cooler?" -- word was 逆様, 'sakasama", which you'll hear a lot. It's pretty overpowered and versatile: .
The thing with the gate was it was feeding Kagura energy to boost his powers somehow. Not sure if there was anything more to it.
There's also a back-and-forth here that's interesting but a bit over my head ...I think the gist of it was: Mykage asking Zen if he's ever going to show his true form, and then Zen brushes him off (the form you can see with your eyes is just an illusion anyways...I think), then turns it back at Mykage, and is like "I see you still haven't given up *that* shape yet..." ("shape" was 風, fwiw, pick your own translation). But a lot of fancy words (some Buddhist terms and references?), could be way off.
Kagura's monologue is that he remembers Amata as that strange guy without a smell, then says that not having a smell is the same thing as not existing (?), and then that if you don't really exist it's fine to kill you...the specific death he threatens Amata with is like reversing his heart (I guess making it pump backwards?).
Think that's it, was an amazing episode all-around.
