iirc Novgorod was pretty deep in the German rear during 1942 and those kids were trained to operate behind enemy lines.
Some minor nitpicks over Nadya's katana, Zena's hair and Linz's facial design just keep on bugging me.

Yes, far from the frontlines, but Partisans were everywhere in German occupied territory. They were also enough of a problem that entire operations were devoted to fighting them.
