I know I've said this before, but the complete lack of Kirino really boosts my enjoyment of this series.
Spoiler for Ep 14:
Because really, Kuroneko is much better as a main character than her. Her sheer determination in her rivalry with Kirino, as well as the scene at the end that shows how far she's been since her first appearance, realizing the importance of friends, is really pleasing to watch.
The best part for me is the scene in the room though, it really speaks volumes about her character especially in relation to Kyousuke. First of all, let's get this out the way: DEM LEGS. And with that kneesocks! Seriously Kyousuke, why on earth do you reject her offer to rub her legs? But yeah, I loved her response when Kyousuke asked, "so you do like me?" and she said "as much as your sister does." Kyousuke being the dense harem male protagonist fails to realize his sexual tension with Kirino, which is at least as thick as his skull, and thus missed Kuroneko outright confessing to him right there.
The phrasing is really good too, because it also shows that Kuroneko realizes that the greatest obstacle to Kyousuke is Kirino, and it looks like the rivalry doesn't stop at aptitude and achievements, but more importantly for Kyousuke's affections as well. The part where she asks which is better, calling him nii-san or senpai, and ultimately deciding to call him nii-san when they're alone really clinches it for me.
The rest of the scenes are pretty good too, Sena brings out the laughs as usual with her Homo-RPG (if she fails as a programmer, a career as a salesman will be good for her, that's one amazing sell she does while concealing the true nature of her product) and obvious brocon tendencies.
And kudos to Hanazawa Kana for great work as usual, my nutbladder is all but burst when she said "nii-san, want to play a game with me?", and that rant filled with her saying onani is simply glorious. If I have a complaint, it's that the absence of Saori is really missed, but overall it's very enjoyable and I'm looking forward to a re-watch later tonight.
