When KID went bankrupt, any project still in development was immediately canceled (as expected).
Some former 12Riven developers have tried to work out a deal with another company (regarding the purchase of 12Riven rights, as well as further financing). However, there're still many questions regarding who KID owes money to, how much each property is worth, who gets the proceeds from a particular property, etc.
These legal issues (which may not be solved in the near future....it's all up to the courts) have held them back, so it's a bit of a longshot. With time passing by, I'd expect most developers to move onto other things.........
The KID bankruptcy was just really bad timing for them, considering that 12Riven was just a few months away from release.
