This is absolutely senseless! If they end off at the part where Rosette and Chrno died peacefully together, its still acceptable. But end off with Remington no longer an angel and Aion still alive! Hey hey, that is not funny. You mean Rosette and Chrno sacrifice their life all for nothing!? Still, we are still unclear of Aion's purpose for still being alive. To wreack havoc again? Man, this is one of those endings that I hated the most.

obviously Remington still has an angel's body (he never said he was an angel, just that he has an angel's body, whatever that means), since he hasn't aged a single bit in the 53 years passed... I agree the last 2 minutes are absolutely senseless... I'll just pretend that the ending ends at a grown-up Azmaria before Rossette's grave, at least until someone can figure out what's the meaning that last 2 minutes...
