Why do you dislike Obama so much? Yes it is true that he has close ties to wall-street but that doesn't mean that the rest of his overall agenda is bad. His problem is, among other things, extreme right wing politics backed by corporations which have pledged to take him down no matter the consequences to the country's economy (This type of polarized politics have never been seen in the US before). That Professor is clearly siding with right wing talking points, trying to make a big issue of what happened to Cylindra and focusing on personal attacks against Warren Buffet and Obama.
You have to be sure of one thing and one thing only, the media black out on the protests would certainly not occur if the protesters were to do exactly what Professor Paul Sheldon suggested. The reason being that all American mass media is owned by corporations. He said it himself; "If these folks want to impress me they gotta be a little more intelligent that they have been so far." By impressing him they would be impressing the mass media as well.
The movement is not interested in blaming a single person or making personal attacks, its focus is complete change from the ground up. They are well aware that focusing all efforts on single individuals will not bring about any meaningful transformation because those people are a product of the system.
