The slacking one
|
At last, the episode we were all waiting for. And to think I was planning on leaving it for tomorrow.
Spoiler for Episode 6 (and a bit of 5):
I certainly remembered Sae and Hiro's part from the manga, and I must say it was done perfectly. Loved seeing Yoshinoya, or rather, the whole show, getting serious and emotional for once, but without exaggerating, never forgetting what hidamari sketch is all about. Of course, seeing Sae being there for Hiro was all kinds of heartwarming and about the biggest yuri flag you can set without going beyond hugs, and Hiro's comment in the end was the perfect cherry on top, especially since SHAFT managed to make that bit even gayer than it was in the manga.
And speaking of getting gayer, Miyako and Yuno sure went at it this episode. I can't remember the last time they acted so close for so long, and to make it even better, Yuno actually managed to catch the joking, shameless, free-spirited Miyako, off guard! Twice! A true miracle! And then they activated a yuri flag that goes beyond hugs by having bath time together. On the funny side, I can't believe it took Yuno so long to notice her own height (she's even shorter than Nazuna!), and the part with Yuno trying to smirk was awesome.
And continuing the getting gayer talk, even Nori and Nazuna got a little yuri moment this episode, Nori being the awesome calm counterpart to the easily scared Nazuna. What else could you possibly ask for?
Episode 5 was pretty nice too, good to see Nori and Nazuna get some well deserved screen time. That "aaaaaaaaaaa" message from Nazuna had me laughing like a madman, Nori's little talk time with Sae was pretty nice, and a good change from the usual, as those two normally don't get a chance to be alone, and of course, seeing Hiro's surprise at catching Nori with her dear Sae early in the morning was priceless.
