Samsung easily. Samsung's current drives are actually decently fast and they're the quiestest desktop drives available. And the prices are good. WD, on the other hand, doesn't have one of the better reputations for reliability, and 95% of their SATA drives are actually PATA with a built in converter. Avoid.
