Cruz is pretty much weak right now and fights with his mind. But the fact that he's willing to charge headfirst into a fight with an opponent he knows is going to slaughter him shows his character has greatly improved since the start of the series where he would have just knelt down and said its over.

Mio may not be "converted", but she genuially likes blade and cruz, more then enough to fight someone she knows is in the same catagory as the elite four. Mio is a very odd person. She has a childish personality but she is not stupid (strategically speaking she's very clever: getting reinforcements and figuring out what blade's group were doing when she "infiltrated" at iron mountain). The best way i think she can be descibed is the way the manga will sometimes draw her with cat characteristics (bow turns to ears, tail, etc). She goes where she wants when she wants.

thank you shadow and kurusu. mio certainly is odd but thats a good thing at times. cruz is cruz whether he is weak or strong
