I skimmed a bunch of the novels between volumes 8 and 12 (I got volume 8-12 in all at once) so I don't know the fine details, but something happened to Aria and Luke had to reforge her. He used a shard of her to make Cecily's ring and gave Cecily the reforged sword at their wedding. Apparently, besides a change in appearance, Aria lost all her memories.

Interesting.

2) What happened with his eyes. Did he go blind after all?
