Damn, how impatient I am, I marathoned through so soon. Ah well, sometimes it was just too exciting to read it slowly and savor every lil' bit. It's too bad episode 5 isn't going to happen anytime soon probably (+the translation after that).

While I enjoyed it overall, it wasn't as epic as episode 3 in short.
As I said earlier, the background story of Ange and Maria were far too tedious. Especially Ange's. I mean what the hell, we read her story for about 5-6 hours, then the story "removes" her entirely at the end? Just wtf? What about all the new characters and that ridiculously long story of hers? She shouldn't be able to come back to the Metaworld, but she cannot attend the gameboard either, so I assume we won't see much of her later on. However I find it a bit frustrating that after all the spotlight she got this episode, she won't be involved much.
I also felt the incredibely long fightscene were a bit out of place (it was like some shounen story or something). I was like WTF the whole time.
The latter parts were really enjoyable though.

Anyway couple of noteworthy things, I'm not really sure how to interpret

• OK. I'm totally confused why Kanon and Shannon remembers their own deaths from earlier kakeras. It isn't like K1 or Satoko, since Kanon and Shannon remembers stuff firmly, definitely, while the characters in Higurashi were just having premonitions like "oh no we shouldn't do that for whatever reason".
  Shannon says: "This time Beatrice-sama didn't make her appearance. And the Master left his Study". That's just more than just a premonition to me, it's like they can remember the kakeras completely like Hanyuu in a sense.
  In any event, if they really remember the "game" and it's harsh rules, they could kill 6 actually kill 5 people (if there is indeed no more than 17 people) on the first day immediately after arriving and before the typhoon, and whoever does the killing wouldn't have enough 13 sacrifice, so it would be futile for him/her. They seemed quite resolute to go against their Master now to be honest. If they can remember that why aren't they doing something?
  
• The boatcaptain says that ships don't like to travel to the island since it brings bad luck etc. But what about helicopters? Surely any enthusiastic mystery fan could rent a helicopter and visit Rokkenjima. And I had the impression Ange's aunt + co travelled with Helicopter there too.
  
• What about Virgilia? AFAIK she is human, how come Goldsmith can just summon humans too? And if she can, why can't she summon Beatrice directly? Both Beato and Virgilia were just human who later become witches. What's preventing Sean Connery to summon one, despite summoning the other of the same kind?
  
• What was that thing with Battler regretting something from 6 years ago? Beato said it in red, that it is nothing concerning her, despite that she seems seriously disappointed in that. What is the thing he should be regretting? Is it that he moved in with a family (and took their name up), he has no blood-relation at all?
  
• I was honestly surprised Battler could use red text though. If he can use it without any consequence (other than choking), why don't he tries to solve the mysteries with such a method? He could just say it to himself in red, that "X was killed by Y" and if it's not correct he couldn't say it as far as I understand. Is there any punishment for using it excessively or what? There is no reason to make Beato repeat stuff in red, if he can use it himself too, and just rebuke whatever theory he can come up with.
  It would be the same as we've seen it now. He can't be definitely sure he's from Asumu, since he has no memories how did he born, and the same way he can't be sure X was indeed killed by Y. So I assume that using red, doesn't require the speaker to definitely know the facts about the subject.
  
• Who impersonated Kinzo in episode 1, if he's really dead in every episode? And how did he (she?) know about Eva's paper?
  If he's really dead why is Nanjo working there? Is someone fooling him to make him believe Kinzo is still alive? IMHO a doctor should remember certain indistinguishable characteristics about his patients, but that would mean Nanjo definitely an accomplice in every scenario.
  
• Battler sure wasn't the sharpest knife in the cupboard, when Beato tried to prove Battler doesn't have Kinzo's blood.
  Beato: "Since you aren't a son of the mom you've believed so, you are not the grandson of your dad's dad!" Flawless Sunohara logic!

  That was just lame, I really dislike whenever I'm reminded I'm playing a game coming from inside the game. Especially in a mystery Visual Novel...
• Mammon at Rokkenjima Mountain, where Ange summoned the Ass Nee-chans.
  

  Y, yes!! ..... Prepare yourself, Ushiromiya Kasumi!

  Whoa... Whoa... Hold your horses! Why is Ange's aunt Ushiromiya only here? Just because she is taking care of the daughter of her sister she automatically receives the surname too? Unlikely...
  In every scene she was referred as Sumadera, and everytime she was talking about families she emphasized how much the Sumadera family means to her, and how she hates her sister and her family. I see absolutely no reason at all for her to pick up Ushiromiya name. Then why Mammon says Ushiromiya Kasumi?

Yeah I've thought it was just a pile of rubbish, but I wouldn't expected such things happening. Slim George overpowering a demon of the 72 and 3 goatservants with his bare hands? Yeah right...
However I don't see the reason why did they act like they are having troubles with the fight? (the prison break is explainable at least).
If Meta-Battler observed those scenes he definitely won't accept it as truth, so he's probably not the reason they were acting like a cat to the mouse. Which means they just wanted to fool the reader/player.
