The Japanese culture came from the JSDF that was fighting in Europe. Amazing Grace was universal music during the war among the Human combatants. Helvetia and Rome have different religious interpretations of the war. To Helvetia the aliens were demons, to Rome the aliens were angels sent to punish humanity but they stopped due to some maidens act of kindness. I heard also that Sora no Woto is in continuity with Occult Academy (Set in 1999 with time travel, espers, ghosts and alien invasion) and Senko no Night Raid (Set in the 1931 with Japanese esper spies).
