They are neither plants nor animals. They differ from other forms of life such as the micro-organisms and the fungi. Instead they resemble the primeval body of life and are generally known as "Mushi". Their existence and appearance are unknown to many and only a limited number of humans are aware of them. Ginko is a "Mushi-shi" who travels around to investigate and find out more about the "Mushi". In the process, he also lends a helping hand to people who face problems with supernatural occurances which may be related to the "Mushi".

Description is exactly the same as the movie, haircolor of Ginko is also the same. Guess I'll watch it since the story of this movie put in 26 anime episodes sure will be interesting

In this forum there is a 45 sides thread about mushishi. There are threads about all the other animes mentioned here (and I looked up) too, so none of the ones I looked for was unknown here.

Escaflowne was on German tv a long while ago (~7 years?) but I've never seen something about it, the Escaflowne threads here in this forum have max 11 posts (there's one about the music and some other negligible stuff) so I think it's pretty unknown here. Could also be that I err though xD
