I was experimenting my smudge brushes on the Chie one and was trying to at least create some sort of flow. I guess I did oversharpened the background, that's why it probably lacks depth
as for the last one, I was trying to create this... foggy effect for the background to make the smudges on the left side of the render blend to the background. I guess the the settings of the layers were the reason behind the unequal sharpness

I tried to do some selective blurring and increased the brightness a bit.
