Well actually the omnipotence paradog can be explained and in the end we can conclude human understading capacity can't deal with the concept.
Now personally I have always have problem with the ultra bult and physical strong mages (specially on setting that require you to study a good deal for say magical power), so I have no problems with loli, old man, etc as strong mages.
