That would really make her entire presence in the show pointless. It's bad enough that we have to see her getting more and more depressed over the latter half of the series. If they end up just killing her along with Mikage, then she might as well not have been there in the first place. But with so little time left, there aren't a lot of ways to resolve the situation, so they might actually just kill her off anyway like they did with Izumo and Alicia. Not that I feel sorry for those two, talk about bad parents...
