Indeed, as I said in my original post I didn't really have any idea how someone could in fact not support VFR while supporting the format. It would be rather strange. They are rather lazy though as you said, and going for the path of least resistance is usually what they do
. I still think it would be a good idea to actually test said implementation rather then saying "I can tell you yes without even trying it."
