Yeah it's just too risky to go flying in. Too many guys that can hit him out of the sky. Plus he's a more obvious target. Think even Luffy realizes he has to push through guys so they can't just stand back and hit him. Most guys aren't going to just fire huge things into the middle of the battlefield since hitting allies might bother some of them

. I was wondering how she'd react to Luffy getting knocked around and if she could hold back from openly assisting him. Apparently Smoker pushed her too far. Since Luffy doesn't get haiki yet it requires someone like her who can hit Logia users to handle Smoker.
