AKB0048 24 - A Little Love in Your Heart
What I found most interesting about this episode was its use of music. Or rather, its use of silence. Much of Chieri's backstory, fittingly, had almost no BGM playing until it got to the point where she started singing, which of course got a reprise later in the episode. This episode was worth it for that scene alone. An insert song performance that's both diegetic and up there with the greats. There's been a lot of great AKB48 songs played during this show, but this one has the most emotional impact. (Mimori/Mariko's debut number was my favorite until now, or "Blue rose", or... let's just say there's a lot.) Nagisa didn't do a whole lot, but her family situation serves as a nice foil for Chieri's. And after that cliffhanger, really looking forward to next week.
