yeah, that's my fanon explanation so far, but it's consistent with canon depiction that the activation eats SP like crazy, similar to Absolute Defense. And the fact Ichika can't use both normal barreir AND Absolute defense when using activated Yukihira XD (Setsura mitigated this somewhat, using barrier void
