I don't either. Why the hell is everyone hell bent on who Maria's mate is? That's doesn't constitute her entire character.

And, seriously, calling Saki a friend-with-benefits for Maira is really demeaning. I understand you don't like yuri couples but that's no reason to project your feelings over her character and attack her if she doesn't measure up to them.
