Sounds interesting (comparison of excerpts, etc). I'm always telling other fan fiction people not to consider their first burst of text a finished product. I've kept revision histories of story segments.
edit: After I bring volume 3 rough draft to a close - I'll take a break and compare rough drafts to final drafts of volume one.
