Why not try a postwar fic or short fic for a former Squad Seven member concerning his/her siding or involvement with the Rebel forces of VC2? Bonus points if it isn't someone who automatically comes to mind.

Good antagonists for a Cordelia centred fic or else a fic with her as one PoV aside from the Revolutionary forces, might also be Darcsen. Not all will follow what's referred to as the 'Darcsen Way.' Not all will even care about the plight of their fellow Darcsen who are outsiders to Gallia culturally, and whose arrival cause economic problems for Gallian born Darcsen. Not all will take kindly to Cordelia's revelations, betrayed as their ancestors were.
Actually a few guys even said she herself might make a good antagonist. The protagonist doesn't necessarily have to be the good guy.

Oh and for Mirena, it's interesting to see the other side's perspective so don't feel bad. As Snow says people are willing to give a pointer or two.

Spoiler for Evil Darcsens:

The matter of "evil Darcsens" certainly was explored well in VC3 via Calamity Raven (just wish that game would get a dub already). It's a very interesting dynamic, and one that I think should be explored more. Maybe you could have such characters be former members of such a group, or something similar.
