Just FYI: we don't typically manage dead torrent links manually.

Every torrent is re-downloaded every 1~4 weeks (depending on age of torrent). If this process fails, the torrent link is marked "dead". If all torrents for a release are dead, the release is marked "dead" (shown as "inactive" on the site). If a release is dead for more than 1 day, it is removed completely from the listing.

So all you need to do as torrent site owner to get your old release off the site is to delete the torrents for it. It should then be removed from AnimeSuki within 1 month (and probably sooner).

In your case though I speed up the process a little. But I really did nothing more than invoke the torrent re-download script manually.

The reason why torrents are only checked every few weeks is because some sites, such as Scarywater and NyaaTorrents host a lot of them, and we'd be hammering them a lot if we checked every single torrent in the database every day.

How often torrents are checked depends on age:
- torrent < 4 months old: every week
- torrent 4 ~ 9 months old: every 2 weeks
- torrent > 9 months old: every 4 weeks

Age is counted from the time it was added to our database btw.
