It goes from a Gm7 Chord which i can play effortlessly to a (from the Official book I'm reading off) a F(add9)/A Chord
how do you play this chord, my fingers can barely even stretch that far. Is this an error or something?

If you were gonna play it that way, though, I'd suggest leaving out the top 2 strings for those chords, and just doing

Sounds perfectly fine that way, and isn't finger torture.
