Aiko drinking water LATE at night is just to show her state of mind, she is UP late at night.
The same goes for Noe, their feelings and insecurities are keeping them awake. Aiko even though she told Shin she is over him, still has feelings for him. Noe knows that Shin has feelings for Hiromi, and doesn't understand why he is with her. Each girl is coping the best way they can, Aiko drinking water and Noe looking at her grandmother picture.
