Spoiler for Comparison to Nikita:

I'd just note that part of what made Seasons 1 and 2 of Nikita so fun to watch was because they had an awesome Magnificent Bastard Chessmaster villain in Percy, and one helluva antagonist in Michael, who was a certified badass, knew his shit and the show subtly built both of them up, so that you think Nikita's steamrolling over them... and then holy shit Michael figured out where Nikita's safehouse is and has her and Alex dead to rights, and then it turns out that Nikita was so sucessful in season 1 because Percy was on to her, was lulling her into a sense of false security, and manipulating events so that her "successes" were beneficial to him. And was genre savvy enough to realise when Michael made his Heel Face Turn and plan accordingly.

Sugou is neither. Which is, when one thinks about, sort of the point - but saying more would be getting into hints and spoilers and my posts being deleted.
