I have to be completely free of obligation before I can feel good watching. Anime is like the "final pleasure", so before I finish my all my crap I tend to procrastinate and do things that take less of a mental investment, and then I forget what the series is about and waste time and lose track of what I'm doing and lose interest and forget the series.
