Ahh... Eve no Jikan. It has this distinct flavor that I haven't really tasted before. Other stories exploring similar themes tend to inject lots of action or drama (Chobits, Blade Runner, maybe GitS, etc.) Heck, even YKK is usually solemn or melancholy whenever the issue about robot origins and sentience is brought up. Compared to those, EnJ is unusually light and colloquial.

I love how the creators seem to play with everything: music, sound effects, camera shots, character interactions, facial expressions, etc. If they could maintain the same quality for the next episodes, then I wouldn't mind the two month required to brew each serving.
