That's not really the important part anyway, in terms of the punishment for losing the game. All he has to say is "it was this girl I can't quite remember who gave me this locket." Which he's already told a significant portion of the audience (the 6 friends) anyway. There's nothing really embarrassing about his story precisely
because he doesn't know who it is, or even if he's met her since then. Well, maybe it's embarrassing that he still holds onto the locket, but if he was really worried about that he probably wouldn't be carrying it around at school.
