I wouldn't be so sure. K-On had an amazing track record with it's popularity and sales and there are a couple of sequels done so we might just get an extra season or so eventually. Who knows.

As for that I'm pretty sure you're right: I doubt we'll ever get them anywhere close to the awesome rock band they seem to be on the ED videos sadly.
