I can definitely agree about Mouretsu Pirates. The slow burn of the first several episodes is hard to get over but it makes for some decent world-building that lets the stuff later on make sense. All of the technical problems with its setting are eventually addressed to make sense and it looks like things will really pick up if this show ever gets a second season. It's a solid watch for anyone who's just watching for fun.
I'll also put a voucher for Humanity Has Declined. Who knew pessimism could be so entertaining? The time loop arc and the Mediator's backstory were lacking in consistency and impact respectively but otherwise this show elicits the
WTFs?! that it's supposed to in the most (dis?
)honest way possible.
