True that. As the man in Jesus Christ suffered much for the sake of mankind.
Yet, Yuki is subservient to the organization who had sent her to monitor Haruhi. Thus, there exists a power who can destroy her (if need be). As for Haruhi, she doesn't need to obey anyone, not even Kyon. Although, some theorize his ability to control Haruhi, I tend to disagree with that.
