I mean, both Madlax and Margareth was crying out for their fathers. And the only present adults at the scene was Richard Burton and Friday. If seen that way, little Madlax's cry-outs of "Stop!" and "why are you doing this?!" would kinda make sense, since Friday was in the middle of a lunatic fit after opening the "door" and triggering a war.
