I usually prefer the main male character and main female character to end up w/ each other, but there are a few times when I prefer another female character. Most of the anime I've seen have ended up w/ the main characters together, but there have been a couple of them that stayed away from that direction.

Spoiler for Ichigo 100%: I remember when the main character didn't end up w/ the girl who had brunette hair in the manga. I was annoyed b.c. that was my favorite couple.
