I don't see it. If anything, Yoshino and Nana's meeting was more like Sachiko and Yumi's second encounter. Desperate need for a sister and collision.
Eriko chose Rei on her whim for her unusual height and boyish looks, Rei choose Yoshino because they were always together anyway since childhood. Where's the pattern?
