Oh, I dunno about that.
Exterminating a whole village because you really love your adoptive grandfather and you want him to be recognized as being right, even if he is undoubtedly wrong.
Ryuukishi is pretty good when it comes to describe how the state of mind of his characters deteriorates to the point they end committing awful crimes, but that doesn't make their reasons any more valid.
