I haunt the
Ubuntu Forums and ended up adding a line to my signature encouraging people not to abandon requests for help. There I think people post the same question on multiple Linux help forums, then after getting an answer they abandon all the other requests. That's not as much of a problem here, though the problem of OPs abandoning a request does occur as discussed in this thread.
