I guess you should know this. The author has pretty much the entire plot already in mid, he already knows what's going to happen to Cruz, Blade, Eve and others, and he already knows how most if not all the plot important points will unfold. He has been working in this for an entire decade. Both Needless 1 and Needless 2 make the whole plot.

Needless 2 is Needless part 2, and the story continues there. We, Soji and others know Cruz isn't dead by the time of Needless 1.5 I guess you should know this.
