I'm not one to reject any retelling of the
Romance of the three Kingdoms, even -- or especially -- an all-moe one. But the staff and cast for this show make me wonder. Director Nakanishi Nobuaki did
Kasimasi and
Sumomo mo Momo mo, both of which were watchable. Writer Go Zappa, however, was responsible for
Myself;Yourself, which I consider one of the biggest train wrecks of the last couple of years. He also did the undistinguished
Chokotto Sister.
The
seiyuu cast consists of names that have been around a while but are not well-known. I checked the
seiyuu pseudonyms site, and the show appears to be following
ef~a tale of memories~ in using a cast of experienced game
seiyuus who haven't had many anime roles. Let's hope it works out as well here as it did there.
