I don't think the new Saya is a vampire (more in the line of vampire hunter clan or something like that), since her dad is a human. May be her mom is (Vampire Princess Miyu)? Or she is in the process of becoming one and being the mother of Saya/Diva's mother?
May be this is a prequel to Blood+/the last Blood???
