Wu Geng (feng shen ji = manhua)

Saitama
Tanba (garouden)
Akari (Terra Formars)
The 80's and 90's had more cool and badass main characters.
Most of the current main characters are cowards or weak and got no guts. A good/badass main character is a rare example.
To answer your question better, Age of "Badass" doesn't exist at the moment.
