Personally, I think the stuff in the intro is a bit of a red herring towards the meaning of the name. This series was a manga long before it became an anime. A joke in the anime opening does not the meaning of the name make, particularly since B型 is not used in anything I've ever come across or seen to refer to cup size. Blood type, yes. Influenza and Hepatitis, yes. But not bust or cup sizes. It's simply not read that way in Japanese.
Personally, I'd see the meaning as being the blood type, with an implied pun on her being "B-type", in reference to her being a B in various other things (including amongst other things, as already noted, class and cup size).
