I'm guessing you didn't like Apollo either.... Because it's consistent with Kagura's and Apollo's characterization in the series. Apollo was an untamed beast. He wasn't a human in his former life--he was brash, immature, rude and uncouth. JUST stubborn. He also tried many times to fight when it was clear he couldn't win--just like Kagura. Like most boys do--he picked on the girl he liked. He called Silvia a barrage of names. Kagura like Apollo is brash, rude and uncouth. He's also an animal, more so than human. However he's a bit different--unlike Apollo, who had Baron and Friends. He seems to come from a sterile world and he hasn't interacted with any normal humans. "Wench" is not only a nod to the OS' Protagonist and main character Apollo. It's also an example of his being uncivilized. I would never presume to tell you what you should like or not (that's a lie, yes I would )....I just think you'd dislike him a lot less, if you looked deeper and not just at the surface.

Frankly, I'm not sure how shipping and/or character wars have come into this. The entire discussion started between myself and tyson on the direction of Kagura's character in this story, where, at some point, I said that he has all the makings of a protagonist (odds against him, chasing the girl, screen time, implied importance to plot (and is very similar to the OS's main character)) and could, with proper writing direction, get face-lifted to the role of a protagonist along side Amata (or opposed, two protagonists need not be on the same side).

None of us ever talked about the certainty of the event, mearly its possibility and how it fit as an explanation for why his character has been structured the way it has: He's not unlikeable, he's constantly losing, and so on. You can go back to the original few posts between myself and tyson for the discussion.

It happened because I said that a story can have more than one main character. Sometimes the main protagonist and the main character, are not the same people. They can be but they don't have to be

I also said Kagura looks like a VILLAIN Protagonist. Not a "Protagonist" but a VILLAIN Protagonist. and then shit went down hill for there

We're simply discussing the show, and speculating because at the end of the day what have we got to talk about. Are we just going to wait till Sunday. Say "yo...that episode was dope!!!" teehee and taahaa" and that's it? How boring is that When did shipping become a crime. It's not, and I find that no one here is foaming at the mouth. The moment someone expresses an opinion or disagrees with someone---people start calling it a war. Besides we don't have a subforum. If we did, we could create threads that are character discussions, speculative theories, and romance. That way you wouldn't have to see shippers if you didn't want to. You don't have to get into any discussions with shippers unless you wanted to. Because like it or not romance is a big part of it.

The thing is, Aquarion Evol is more of romance than the OS (not really in my opinion) The plot revolves around fated lovers who meet every 12,000 years. Unlike the original series, ova and movies---we have no clear indication of who they can be.
So there is going to be speculation about romance and people are going to prefer one pairing over another, or they might not care at all. Either way, it's all good!

I wish we did have a sub forum. Then we could re watch, the OS togehter and discuss it on Sundays. I love Aquarion! I watch it all the time.In the last month I've already had 3 different marathons--gosh I just love the show.

Call it shipper delusions or whatever you want, but since we're also discussing the OS, I decided to just post my fave Apollo Silvia moments and I remembered a particular scene..a few of them actually. The parallels are the things that convince me Amata IS NOT Apollon's reincarnation. Also I realized that Mikono is more like Silvia than she appears to be. Silvia had more confidence because she could protect herself and she was an element. Mikono is the person she'd be if she didn't have that. Also I find Mikono's insecurities a lot like the ones Sirius had--as well as Celiane and Silvia

I will save that for another discussion...

I truly believe that the only way Amata's love for Mikono will come to fruition is if he's part of Kagura. If he's not--bites for him but he can always have Zessica (that way, everybody's happy or at least I will be)

How come Amata is none of these things? He has more in common with Silvia and Sirus. I really don't think this is just shipper delusions. If anything these are the reasons I am shipping Kagura and Mikono because they are my beloved pairing from SNA the OS...
