Naruto is underestimated in the manga. We have already seen countless times people saying that Naruto is the only capable of surpressing the nine tails chakra and has an incredible chakra limit which when controlled properly he will be stronger than sasuke.

We know Naruto is underestimated. It's the fact that Kishi has gone so FAR in developing Sasuke this past year and a half, it feels like Naruto is not just understimated, but neglected and forgotten. If Naruto becomes super strong now from the sage training in a couple of chapters and has the power to beat up Pein & Sasuke, I will not be satisfied at all.
