shaft reputation of slideshow anime is undeserved, people judged it for Bake and zetsubo, and you are rigth denpa and nise have more animation than most animes, i dont mention madoka since while it wasnt bad it had its flaws(havent seen BD/DVD thoug), they just dont do good backgrounds, also Shaft is quite busy with a couple of movies rigth now, and i personally would rather see first a second season of denpaonna.
