So, according to the preview, next week's episode is the last one. Strangely, the dangerous game in which the Heroine was played fool to come in warmed up to look forward how does everything ends.
The pieces are spread, though I feel we're still missing a few ones, but what I could came up with by setting them at their proper places is:
Spoiler:
This strange phenomenon cries Higurashi vibes all over, as Ukyo has been travelling between worlds for an eternity, and worst he has died in most, if not all, those worlds that he has come to visit.
Now, making matters more troublesome, from the dialogue Ukyo told Heroine he came to know and love her with each world that he visited, but the dialogue from my understanding I came that actually Hime has been as well traveling between world for a long while.
Then, let's address Ukyo's personality changes:
- What could if visiting from world to world and dying for eternity actually took a devastating trauma within Ukyo's existence that he actually ended up splitting into two polar aspects of his same persona: The Ukyo who is willing to die in order to ensure the Heroine's survival, and the joker Ukyo driven mad to the boiling point of killing the Heroine in order to put an end to this mad phenomenon and break free?
- What if Heroine's loss of memory actually came as a result of a similar trauma upon her once breaking down for being put in the same situation with no way to escape and reliving circumstances in different worlds?
But, the issue that quite baffles me up from understanding Ukyo's dialogue is that all the strange ocurrence with them realizing that they are in a different world now with the same people, after waking up, feels like a prankster from the powers that would be playing a fate prank on them.
If the Joker Ukyo wants to ensure the survival of all his existence, then he must kill the Heroine.
If Heroine wants to live in that seemingly last world, then she must keep herself safe until August the 25th passes by.
