This is actually quite a very emotional scene, from the end of episode 3. I wouldn't recommend you to read until you badly want to be spoiled (it is better than episode 2's scene involving Kanon and Jessica IMO).
Spoiler for end of episode 3:
Because of special circumstances (let's not spoil more than necessary), Jessica lost her eyesight. While Battler is trying to calm down Eva after George and Hideyoshi death, Nanjo is assaulted by Eva-beatrice (or rather the culprit) as he is about to look for Battler and Eva after he did the first aid to Jessica.
Jessica is hopeless in her room as she knows Nanjo is doomed but she is completely blind. There, Beatrice intervened with Kanon. Kanon's soul approached Jessica and guided her gently somewhere else, while Beato casted a barrier around Eva-beatrice so she wouldn't see/sense Jessica running away (while Eva-beatrice is having fun like a psycho after killing nanjo).
As they finally found a proper room, Kanon and Jessica begin to spend time together while Beato is trying to buy them time until Kanon's soul's borrowed time runs out. Eva-beatrice and the 2 siesta quickly realize the situation and use the gold snake weapon in order to kill off jessica, but Beato intervenes and uses herself as a shield (as no matter what, you cannot prevent the snake to misses a target). Eva-beatrice is amused and continue to order the siesta to kill Beato, but amazingly enough, beato is able to withstand their blow to the point that both siesta freak out, calling her a monster. They give up while Kanon finally used all his time allowed by beatrice with Jessica and thanked beato, while the latter, relieved that she succeeded, collapses and disappear.
