Kai turns out to be the only person the MC could turn to. All the other "friends" bailed on the guy for the prize money. The relationship between the MC and Kai is of interest. It has some ways it can go, all of which are interesting. It would be awesome if Kai ends up betraying the MC for some (believable) reason. Sounds possible and also cool. Now the imouto will be interrogated or possibly kidnapped to force the MC to turn himself in.
